Dual hydraulic cylinders

Dual hydraulic cylinders allow the platform to be lifted with power from both sides. The cylinders are easily accessible for routine maintenance.

Pins & Bushings

Exclusively for the G2 Series, hard chrome lift am pins and composite bushings are designed to be maintenance free.

Lockable platform latch

Each G2 Series liftgate features a lockable platform latch (lock included).

Fixed control

Liftgates come standard with a curb side mounted control. For safety and ease of use, the control features: A – “Power On” LED light (blinking light indicates low-voltage) B – “Liftgate Enabled” LED light C – Main “Power On” switch, press to arm, press twice to reset low voltage D – Toggle-style switch is easier to operate with work gloves than push button controls. E - A reset button located under the logo is used to turn power onto the liftgate. A timer deactivates the liftgate 90 seconds after the last operation. This helps control unauthorized use. Low-Voltage protection helps prevent electrical failure.

Main Frame Box

The Main Frame Box cover is removable with platform in the up or down position for easy access. The electrical and hydraulic systems are located inside, protected from the elements.

The Main Frame Box cover features a recessed mount for the license plate with lights.

Located inside are the pump and motor unit, wiring and:

-Pressure Relief Valve – Prevents the raising of the lift if the platform is overloaded.

-Molded Ground/Power Cable (electrical system)

All Liftgates come standard with a full-length molded ground and power cable and a circuit breaker.
Molded Power Cable The dual-cable design allows a direct connection from the liftgate to the battery without needing a separate ground connection or ground strap.	The 150 amp circuit breaker with manual reset helps protect the electrical system. Circuit Breaker

-Cylinder-mounted Flow Control Valves – The flow control valve guards against uncontrolled descent in event of hose failure.

-Pump and Motor – The full-size pump and motor unit has a two year warranty.

Spare Tire Access

The truck’s spare tire is accessible through the G2 Series liftgate Main Frame Box.

Trailer Hitch compatible

Tommy Gate Pickup Lift Series liftgates are compatible with many frame-mounted receiver-style trailer hitches.

Brackets

Liftgate brackets – specific for each truck make and model – ensure a quick and proper installation.

Dropped Platform

The liftgate platform can be dropped for easier dock and forklift loading, depending on bed height.

Standard Treadplate Steel

The G2 Series liftgates feature a heavy-duty standard Treadplate steel surface.

Additonal platform materials

TP27 – 1-piece 27″ deep platform features a formed 4″ taper with 27 inches of loadable surface.

The closed platform extends only 4 inches above the truck box.

TP38 – 2-piece 38″ deep platform features a 4″ taper with 38 inches of loadable surface.

The closed platform remains flush with truck box

TP42 – 2-piece 42″ deep platform features a 7″ taper with 42 inches of loadable surface.

The closed platform extends 4 inches above the truck box.
